5 Important Functions of the Brain | Self Leadership

Over the past 20 years, there’s been breakthrough insights on how our brains operate. However, many leaders are still using pre-existing knowledge from times past. They don’t realise that such lack of understanding hinders their leadership impact and causes more stress for themselves and their organisations.

If we use Stephen Covey’s definition of leadership where he said: “Leadership is communicating to another person their worth and potential so clearly they are inspired to see it in themselves”, then leaders must educate themselves on this vital topic. Why? This is because the “see it in themselves” can only happen when you educate yourself on how to get the most from your own brain and then pass this knowledge to others.

In this first video, I explain ‘the five functions of the brain’ and summarise why we must know these functions as we live in this digital age of the 21st century.

Watch out for more content on this topic as I will build on it in subsequent videos.
